Cathy Pagano, CCMEP, Principal at CME Matters, LLC.

Cathy is a highly regarded and talented leader in the continuing medical education (CME) arena. With more than 25 years of experience, she started her career in the pharmaceutical industry as a Senior Systems Analyst at Schering-Plough. She spent the last 15 years in the medical education field, most recently holding the position of President at the Institute for Continuing Healthcare Education for 5 years, where she led a highly skilled group of CME professionals.  

Cathy has experience in all critical aspects of the CME industry, including educational design, content development, relationships with subject-matter experts, operations, business development, accreditation/compliance, and senior leadership roles. Cathy has presented at numerous CME conferences on topics such as innovative educational design, the use of technology in medical education, outcome measurement, and compliance issues. She has also demonstrated her commitment to CME by earning her CCMEP certification in 2008 from the National Commission for Certification of CME Professionals.

Cathy is a leader focused on the educational imperative to improve patient care in the U.S. She is motivated by challenging situations and she approaches each challenge proactively. She is highly admired by her peers, with strong relationships in the fields of medical communications and pharmaceuticals.
